Training Programs
The C3 region boasts a dedicated, qualified workforce, with a strong background in manufacturing and assembly, and enjoys Alabama’s right-to-work status. More than 18 percent of the region’s workforce is employed in the manufacturing sector. This exceeds the State average of 13% and the national average of 10%. This is a clear indicator that or workforce is well accustomed to manufacturing environments and know how and prove daily that they know how to produce a product for their employer.
A solid pipeline for workforce training also exists in the region. The C3 region is home to two branches of Bevill State Community College and has numerous other community colleges within a short driving distance to ensure an abundant supply of qualified workers. The area is flanked by some of the South’s most notable four-year universities, including the University of Alabama, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Mississippi State University. Alabama is also recognized for its world-renowned workforce screening and training, free to qualified prospects, through AIDT.
